When you have
saved
an image, you may want to use it inside a document.
Use the instructions on the right of your screen for help in
placing your file into the application or program you are using.

Microsoft Word
Opening a document:
First you will need to open a new
document within Word program. You can do this by choosing
the 'file' option from your top toolbar and then selecting the 'new'
option from the dropdown menu.
How to insert your image:
Select the 'insert' option from your
top toolbar and then choose the 'picture' option from the
dropdown menu. This will then give you an option to choose
a picture 'from file' - please select this option.
Once you have clicked on 'from file' you
will then be asked to find your picture on your computer.
NB: This will be the location in which you have saved it -
the desktop or disk. When you have found it, click on the
picture file name that you want and select 'insert'.
Your DK Clip Art image should now be in
your document!
Resizing images:
If you want to resize the image, click
on it once and then drag the corner points until the image
is the size you would like.
QuarkXpress
Opening a document:
First you will need to open a new
document within QuarkXpress program. Select the 'file' option
from your top toolbar and then choose the 'new' option from
the dropdown menu.
How to insert your image:
Creating a new 'picture box' where
you would like the image to be. With that box selected, use
the 'file' option in your top toolbar and select 'get picture'.
You will then be asked to find your picture on your computer.
NB: This will be the location in which you have saved it -
the desktop or disk. When you have found it, click on the
picture file name that you want and select 'open'.
Your DK Clip Art image should now be in
your document!
Resizing images:
If you want to resize the image, click
on it once to select the image. Then hold down the 'apple'
or 'command' key (or control on a PC) and then drag the corner
points until the image is the size you would like.
